Set up for measuring varible voltage:
1. Insert leads. Black to COM(Black) - Red to VHz (Red)
2. Insert two AA batteries
3. Click from OFF up one to Variable voltage (V with squiggly line above)
4. Insert Black prong into Earth pin of plug or directly into earth outside.
5. Hold red prong to see voltage you are being subject to.
6. Try going near or touching different object around the home, like the walls where your power wires are - pretty scary to see the voltage that is always present.
